SOULCALIBUR 2 INTRO DRIVERS

  • Note: Windows Nvidia drivers and Linux Nvidia drivers don't follow the same release pattern for what's considered "latest " though, in this case since the report is pretty old, there is indeed a newer driver.
  • SOULCALIBUR 2 INTRO UPDATE

My GPU driver I used for all of these is 510.60.02 (I was going to update the driver some time ago to the new Nvidia open-source modules but my kernel is LLVM-compiled and the open-source modules struggle to compile with LLVM to match for installation). When I tested that version, I did test all the way through to gameplay.I did test a32f271 already, and that version works perfectly fine for me with the exact same compilation flags I mentioned in the initial report here up top.I haven't tried a blank HDD but I'll try that next. The performance issues seem to be when transitiong between intros and between game menus and stutters while in combat. Most of other games work as I expected (Red Ninja has a performance issue too but doesn't exhibit some of the same behaviors here).I've been launching xemu just by calling the xemu binary with no additional arguements.the last compat report was using NVIDIA 511.79Ĭreated QEMU launch parameters: xemu -machine xbox,bootrom=/mnt/extraStorage/Gaming/Emulation/Original Xbox/BIOSes/mcpx_1.0.bin,kernel-irqchip=off,avpack=hdtv -device smbus-storage,file=/home/neko-san/.local/share/xemu/xemu/eeprom.bin -bios /mnt/extraStorage/Gaming/Emulation/Original Xbox/BIOSes/bios_complex_4627.bin -m 64 -drive index=0,media=disk,file=/mnt/extraStorage/Gaming/Emulation/Original Xbox/official_xbox_hdd.qcow2,locked=on -drive index=1,media=cdrom,file=/mnt/extraStorage/Gaming/Emulation/Original Xbox/Games/Soul Calibur 2.iso -display To answer your questions:.fwiw I have tested NVIDIA 470.103.01 and NVIDIA 510.73.05 and results are the same in both cases. If this version performs badly on your current setup, have you tried using the same graphics drivers that you were using when you last had acceptable performance, or as reported by the last compat report? Have you tried updating your graphics driver?.When you tested this version, did you test all the way through gameplay etc? Same as you are testing with latest version?.Have you tested this version on the exact same setup you have now?.

  • Did you try this version ( a32f271) on your machine at some point? Based on your comment SoulCalibur II: Crash on Launch #931 (comment) you have tested that exact version and that version shows up in the xemu about window?.
  • I see that the last compat report (against version a32f271) was reported by someone else.
  • Using a fresh copy of the blank HDD image would be the quickest way to rule that out.
  • Have you tried a blank HDD image with the latest version of xemu? Maybe there is some cache issue degrading performance.
  • Where exactly in the game do you experience this poor performance? Is it in the intro video, or on any particular mode, level, character, effect, etc?.
  • Is the game patched at all or is it stock SCII?.
  • How did you pack the iso? Have you tried using extract-xiso?.
  • How are you launching the game? Are you starting xemu with the -dvd_path?.

The intro video after the logos does have some stuttering w/ associated audio stuttering, but you can press A to advance through it and menus run in full speed, gameplay runs at about 40-60FPS. On my machine the intro video sequence, menu, and gameplay have ok performance and appear to be basically working as expected. SoulCalibur II: Crash on Launch #931 a quick test I am not able to replicate the reported intro flip issue and 0-10 FPS behavior.Pretty much identical behavior to a comment I made in a separate issue: Shader: 4.00 NVIDIA via Cg compiler Additional Contextįlips between frames in an odd fashion like this and what the frame should look more like: GPU Model: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 CFLAGS="-march=znver2 -mtune=znver2 -O3 -pipe -fno-plt -fexceptions -Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -Wformat -Werror=format-security -fstack-clash-protection -fcf-protection -flto=full"ĬXXFLAGS="$CFLAGS -Wp,-D_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS"
